Responsibilities
- Deputy Manager (Archivist): The candidate will be responsible for managing the bank’s archives, including preserving and organizing documents, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with archival standards. They will also be required to develop and implement archival systems and assist in the digitization of records.
- Other Specialist Cadre Officers may have roles in management, strategy, IT, legal services, and other specialized functions, each with their own set of responsibilities.
Role of the Job

As a Specialist Cadre Officer at SBI, the candidate will take on specific technical or administrative duties based on their expertise and qualifications. These officers contribute to the operational success and strategy of the bank by managing specialized functions, advising senior management, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee an interview. The shortlisting committee, formed by the Bank, will determine the criteria for shortlisting candidates. Only a sufficient number of candidates, as decided by the Bank, will be shortlisted for the interview. The Bank’s decision regarding which candidates are called for the interview is final, and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
- Interview: The interview will be conducted for a total of 100 marks. The qualifying marks for the interview will be determined by the Bank. No correspondence will be entertained regarding the interview marks.
- Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on the interview scores. In the event of multiple candidates securing the same marks at the cut-off point, their ranking will be determined by age, with older candidates ranked higher in the merit list.
