Application Fee:

  • For all applicants (except those mentioned in Para 9.2): Rs. 500/-
    • Refundable: Rs. 400/- for those who attend the trial examination.
  • For candidates from SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PWDs/Women/Minorities/Economically Backward Classes: Rs. 250/-
    • Refundable: Rs. 250/- for those who attend the trial examination.

Note: Candidates from Economically Backward Classes are those with a family income of less than Rs. 50,000 per year. They must provide a certificate as per Annexure-C.

Age Limit:

  • Age Range: 18 to 25 years as of January 1, 2025.
  • Age Relaxation: Not applicable.

Sports Norms:

The recruitment will follow the minimum sports performance standards for various pay grades:

A. For PB-I (Rs. 5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs. 1800/- (Level – 01 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix):

  • Must have represented the country in any Category-C Championships or events.
  • Must have secured at least 3rd position in the Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
  • Must have represented a state or equivalent unit with at least an 8th position in Senior National Championships.

B. For PB-I (Rs. 5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs. 1900/2000 (Level – 02/03 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix):

  • Must have represented the country in any Category-B Championships or events.
  • Must have secured at least 3rd position in Category-C Championships.
  • Must have secured at least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships.
  • Must have secured at least 3rd position in the National Games organized by the Indian Olympic Association.
  • Must have secured 1st position in the Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).

C. For PB-I (Rs. 5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/2800 (Level – 04/05 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix):

  • Must have secured at least 3rd position in any Category-B Championships/events (except for a Gold Medal in the Asian Games).

Educational Qualification:

  • For GP 1800 (Level 01): Must have passed 10th grade or completed ITI or an equivalent qualification.
  • For GP 1900/2000 (Level 02/03): Must have passed the Intermediate (12th) exam or an equivalent qualification from any recognized board.
  • For GP 2400/2800 (Level 04/05): Must have a degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institution.
  • Technical Posts: For technical roles, candidates must have completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI that is approved by SCVT/NCVT.

Recruitment Process:

  • Trials: Candidates will undergo trials, where their physical and sports abilities will be assessed.
  • Sports Achievements: Candidates’ sports performance will also be considered as part of the assessment. Only candidates who pass the trials will move forward to the next stages of the recruitment process.

General Conditions:

  • Candidature: Candidates must carefully review the eligibility criteria before applying.
  • NOC: Railway employees or those working in quasi-administrative offices must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer.
  • Typing Skill: Candidates who are selected for Clerk-cum-Typist positions must acquire typing skills within 4 years of joining.
