Age Limit
Age Consideration Date: The age of applicants will be calculated as of 1st January 2025.General Category: Applicants must be between 18 to 33 years of age. Reserved Categories: Age relaxations are provided for candidates in the following categories:

- ST (Scheduled Tribe)
- OBC (Other Backward Classes)
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities)
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
Applicants must possess the minimum educational qualifications specified for the posts in the CEN. Ensure you have the necessary documents and qualifications by the closing date for applications. Candidates awaiting the results of their final exams should refrain from applying.
Medical Standards:
Candidates must meet the prescribed medical standards for the posts they are applying for. Visual acuity and other health conditions will be evaluated during the recruitment process. Specific criteria regarding distant vision, near vision, and other visual standards are provided in the official notification.
Physical Fitness:
As the nature of the railway services requires candidates to be physically fit, those found medically unfit at any stage of the recruitment process will not be considered further.
Application Process
- Create an Account: If you have previously created an account for other RRB recruitment processes, you can use the same credentials. Ensure the information provided, such as your mobile number and email ID, is accurate and up to date, as it cannot be modified later.
- Submit the Application: Fill out the application form with correct details and submit it before the deadline (06th February 2025). Candidates can apply to only one RRB and submit only one application.
- Application Fee: The application fee varies by category:
- General Category: Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 will be refunded after attending the 1st Stage CBT)
- SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwBD/Female/Transgender/Ex-Servicemen/EBC: Rs. 250 (Refunded after attending the 1st Stage CBT)
- Application Modification: If you need to make any changes to your application, you can do so within the modification window (09th February to 18th February 2025). However, some fields, such as the RRB selected, cannot be changed once submitted.
Examination and Selection Process
The selection process for this recruitment includes multiple stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): This will be the first stage of the recruitment. The CBT may be conducted in a single or multiple stages based on the number of applicants. Candidates will be assessed on their knowledge in various subjects related to the post applied for.
- Performance Test/Translation Test/Teaching Skill Test: Depending on the post, candidates may need to undergo additional tests to assess their skills.
- Document Verification: Those who pass the CBT and skill tests will be called for document verification. All the documents, including educational qualifications, caste certificates, and others, must be authentic and valid.
- Medical Examination: The final stage involves a medical examination to ensure that candidates are fit for the post they are applying for. Specific medical standards, including visual and physical health, are mandatory.
Reservation and Relaxation for Reserved Categories
Indian Railways follows a policy of reserving vacancies for various categories, including SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen. Age relaxation is provided according to the category of the candidate. For example, candidates from SC/ST categories receive a relaxation of up to 5 years in the upper age limit, while OBC candidates get a 3-year relaxation. Candidates with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) are entitled to age relaxation of up to 10 years, with further relaxations for specific categories.
