The Manager, Flight Operations is responsible for overseeing the operations and control center of the Flight Training Organization (FTO).
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all eGCA filings related to flights, dispatches, flight monitoring, data analysis for de-briefings by instructional staff, and FDR (Flight Data Recorder) monitoring.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure Efficient and Safe Flight Operations:
Oversee all flight operations to ensure the safety and efficiency of all FTO activities.
Manage Scheduling for Cadet Flights:
Collaborate with other teams to schedule cadet flights, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely course completion.
Flight Data Analysis:
Analyze flight data to assist instructors with more effective debriefing of cadet performance.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
Work with departments such as Aviation Academy, FTO team, Pilot Training Units, Maintenance, Compliance, HR, Finance, and IT to ensure smooth flight operations.
Implement Digital Systems:
Manage the implementation and utilization of digital systems to optimize operations.
Increase Operational Efficiency:
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the operational efficiency of flight training processes.
Industry Trends and Best Practices:
Stay informed about industry trends, peer pricing strategies, and business development approaches to keep operations competitive.
Additional Responsibilities:
Take on additional standalone projects or regular tasks assigned by the organization, as agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer, and HR.

Interaction with FTO partners, Air India cadets, regulatory authorities, aircraft manufacturers, and other external vendors.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required).
Additional certifications in aviation or flight operations are preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in air operations roles.
At least 5 years of experience in airline/FTO/ATC flight operations is required.
Experience in managing flight operations at ATOs/FTOs, both in India and abroad, is highly desirable.
Experience in airline/FTO IOCC roles with leading airlines is a plus.
