Eligibility Criteria
Educational & Professional Qualifications:
- Candidates should be retired from Railway, Central/State Government, or PSU in the position of Dy. Chief Engineer (Civil) (Selection Grade – Pay Level 13 as per the 7th CPC).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction and maintenance of metro underground tunnels, viaducts, and stations is required.
- Candidates should have experience in handling arbitration cases related to metro construction projects.
Age Limit:
- Candidates should be beyond 60 years and under 62 years of age as of April 1, 2025.
Emoluments and Benefits
The compensation for the position is based on the last pay drawn by the candidates at the time of retirement:
- For retired Central/State Government officers: 50% of the last basic pay plus DA (CDA or State DA), rounded up to the nearest 100.
- For retired PSU officers: 50% of the last basic pay plus DA (IDA), rounded up to the nearest 100.
In addition to the above emoluments, the position offers the benefits as per the HR rules of KMRCL.
Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing:
- Construction and maintenance of metro tunnels, viaducts, and stations for the East-West Corridor Project.
- Managing and dealing with arbitration cases related to construction and project activities.
- Coordinating with Kolkata Metro Railway and other stakeholders involved in the metro project.
